Wellness Educational Conference at The Westin Richmond

Saturday, March 26, 2022, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The Women and Wellness educational mini-conference invites guests to take a deeper dive with Massey leaders on topics like healthy living and nutrition, self-care and wellness, cancer and relationships and thriving with cancer. Hands-on opportunities, such as therapeutic painting and makeup and beauty tips are also planned.

SURVIVORSHIP: SURVIVING & THRIVING WITH CANCER

Susan Hong, M.D., Massey Survivorships Program Director

What does life after cancer look like? This session focuses on ips and tools for healthy living and models for life after cancer, led by Susan Hong, MD, MPH,FACP, Director of the Cancer Survivorship Program), and a Q&A panel session with Massey survivorship program clinicians.

HEALTHY EATING: NUTRITION & COOKING

Allie Farley, MS, RD

Massey dietitian recipe sharing and tasting with a certified Massey outreach dietician. Includes a demonstration of how to cook a nutritional meal and samples and recipes to take home to try on your own.


CANCER & RELATIONSHIPS

Kristie Willis, MS,RN,OCN,CNML

How does cancer affect interpersonal relationships? This session explores intimacy, relationships, and sexuality amidst a cancer diagnosis, led by Massey doctors and clinical social workers.

THERAPEUTIC ART ACTIVITY

Interactive painting session with a VCU Health art specialist. Painting has proven to be beneficial to wellbeing.
