Allie Farley joins Massey as a registered dietitian
Mar 26, 2018
In February 2018, VCU Massey Cancer Center welcomed Allie Farley, M.S., R.D., L.D., to the Integrative Health team as a registered dietitian.
Farley comes to Massey from West Virginia University School of Medicine where she served as the clinical dietitian for the cystic fibrosis clinic. She has been practicing as a dietitian for 8 years.
In her role at Massey, Farley will work to expand the Integrative Health program's nutrition outreach efforts by participating in health fairs, the weekly Tricycle Urban Ag Farm Stand, recipe tastings, workshops and more.
Her first workshop, Cooking with Fresh Veggies, will take place on Wednesday, April 11 from 6 - 7 p.m. at Stony Point 9000 as part of the monthly Healthy Living series. The discussion will touch on how to avoid foods containing estrogen, the organic dirty dozen and hidden sources of sugar.
For more information about nutrition or other resources available through Massey’s Integrative Health Program, call (804) 828-8478 or visit masseyintegrativehealth.org.
