VCU Massey Cancer Center has teamed up with Art on Wheels, a Richmond nonprofit that brings comprehensive art programming to local communities with limited access to the arts, to create the world's largest collagraph (an inked and printed object) using donated clothing to represent individuals affected by cancer.

Titled “Impressions of Courage”, the project is Art on Wheel’s largest community art project ever and will culminate in a day-long community festival on September 10 in Richmond’s Scott’s Addition neighborhood where the monumental 500-1000-foot collagraph will be printed on the street. Expected to stretch three-six blocks and set a Guinness Book world record, Impressions of Courage provides a unique and artistic way to pay tribute to those who have been touched by cancer.

The community is invited to submit clothing April 1-June 26. Clothing submissions do not need to be the honoree’s actual clothing, just represent them. Please note that clothing will not be returned, and there is a maximum of 300 outfits that can be accepted. Community members may also help ink and print outfits on April 17, May 15 and June 12.
