VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center has released its 2025 Annual Report: UNcharted Territory. The report highlights a multitude of efforts by VCU Massey over the past year, demonstrating the center’s continued dedication to reducing the cancer burden throughout Virginia and beyond. The annual report highlights the beginning of a new chapter at Massey, one which reaffirms the commitment of the cancer center to reduce the cancer burden for all Virginians under the leadership of Massey’s next director, Monica L. Baskin, Ph.D., FSBM, FABMR.

The annual report showcases Massey's nationally recognized community-to-bench model, which drives research by working directly with communities throughout Massey's catchment area, which spans the eastern, central and southern portions of the state. Also highlighted in the report is the reach of Massey's partnerships across the commonwealth, and the cancer center's legacy of scientific excellence recognized across the nation. The work outlined in this report reaffirms the importance of the community in all of VCU Massey's endeavors, including personal stories of resilience, dedication and hope.
