Behaviors that reduce the risk of cancer

  • Stop smoking
  • Eat a high-fiber, low-fat diet
  • Drink alcohol in moderation (beer, wine and liquor)
  • Use sunscreen on your skin when you are outside
  • Have regular cancer-screening check ups as recommended by the National Cancer Institute
