Signature luncheon: Stories of Survivorship and Hope with Bravo TV’s Bershan Shaw
Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, 12 Noon to 2 pm | The Jefferson Hotel
Save the date and join us to listen in on conversations about cancer and survivorship with Massey cancer patients, survivors, and family members. Special guest, Bravo TV’s Bershan Shaw, a two-time breast cancer survivor, will share her story and guide fellow cancer survivors in conversations to shed insights into the impacts of cancer and what it means to be a cancer survivor. Ticket, table host and sponsorship opportunities available; email teammassey@vcu.edu or call 804.628.8416.
Bershan Shaw was In her early 30s when she received news that she had stage four breast cancer and had just three months to live. At that moment, the self-proclaimed “multipreneur,” who has shared the stage with celebrities including Tony Robbins and Pitbull, decided to take a figurative journey into herself, and a literal one around the globe, to gain a fresh perspective and a new lease on life, no matter how long she had. In so doing, the “Real Housewives of New York City” star summoned her inner warrior and defied the odds, beating her illness.
As a speaker, advocate and author of The Unstoppable Warrior Woman, Shaw works to empower others through a wellness based approach, connecting the mind, body, and spirit.
